THE STORY BEHIND JABARI WATCHES

Our mission is to inspire and preserve Maasai heritage in the age of cultural convergence and loss of tradition. We work directly with Maasai artisans and communities to produce modern fashion watches; complemented with traditional glass beads which have been used by the Maasai people since the 19th century.

The Maasai people are community residents of East Africa who have chosen to live by and practice their ancient traditions. With the passing of Maasai elders and the rapid pace of globalization and modernization, the Maasai way of life is gradually being diluted.

Influenced by Maasai culture, and brought together through traditional Maasai craftsmanship, Jabari Watches presents a line of contemporary fashion accessories with a dash of ethnic motifs.
